Pelvic Gynecology
Gynecological Health
Regular checkups with your gynecologist are an important part of taking care of your overall health. 我们的 女性's Services Specialists can assist you through all the phases of your life.
Pelvic Health
Pelvic issues can, and often do, have a big impact on a woman’s lifestyle. The 疼痛 and discomfort interfere with work and take the fun out of leisure time.
Symptoms range from inconvenient and embarrassing to 疼痛ful or even debilitating. They have a negative impact on a woman’s lifestyle and can be both challenging to diagnose and difficult to treat.
At Frye Regional Medical Center, our Pelvic Health physical therapists work with each patient to understand how pelvic issues are affecting her medically and emotionally. 我们的 goal is to provide an evaluation and treatment plan for pelvic 疼痛 that may be caused by:
- Endometriosis
- Fibroids
- Incontinence disorders
- Organ prolapse
Interventions may include:
- Education
- Low-intensity pelvic health classes
- Physical therapy

Real Solutions for Real Issues
Nearly every woman experiences some form of pelvic issue in her lifetime, whether it’s discomfort, 疼痛, bleeding, frequent urination, or incontinence. Young women may develop endometriosis and uncontrollable menstrual bleeding as early as their teens. 女性 of all ages may have problems with incontinence or pelvic prolapse, especially if they have had more than one child. Yet many of the patients that come through our doors have been told by friends, or even by their family physician, that their condition couldn’t be treated.
These women believe incontinence is “just part of aging” or that heavy bleeding “just happens to some girls.” As a result, although pelvic health disorders affect nearly one-quarter of U.S. women, many end up suffering in silence. At Frye Regional Medical Center, our pelvic health physical therapists are dedicated to helping these women and debunking the myths about female pelvic conditions.
